Laughed out loud at Anth's outrage over the stupidity of a Siri interface for TV. In part, I was laughing because it *is* ridiculous but also because lots of ridiculous things in tech come to pass and are widely adopted. Case in point: the iPod shuffle. When it launched, I could not imagine listening to my albums all mixed up. Of course now, the concept of listening to "albums" is terribly old school.
There are plenty of albums I will not listen to via shuffled tracks: OK Computer, anything by Girl Talk. That said, I don't mind the concept of shuffle, but I do need to work on my playlists a bit better. Sometimes having Iron Maiden leading into "John Barleycorn Must Die" by Traffic is a bit too jarring.
